New England (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)

  • Arisia (Boston, MA) - Billed as a general science fiction and fantasy convention, but it offers its share of gaming. 17-20 January 2020.
  • Boskone (Boston, MA) - New England's longest-running fantasy and science fiction convention. Mostly literature-focused. 14-16 February 2020.
  • Total Confusion (Marlborough, MA) - A regional con focused on tabletop RPGs and board games. 20-23 February, 2020.
  • Intercon (Chelmsford, MA) - A yearly all-LARP con, usually in early March. 27 February - 01 March 2020.
  • PAX East (Boston, MA) - The biggest gaming con in New England so far, focused on tabletop RPGs, Board Games, Console Games, and PC Games. Held in early Spring, usually March or April. 27 February - 01 March 2020.
  • Granite Game Summit (Nashua, NH) - A board game gathering that usually runs in spring. 6-8 March 2020.
  • ConnCon (Stamford, CT) - An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running at it. Held in February or March. 20-22 March 2020.
  • Vericon (Cambridge, MA) - A yearly gaming and fandom con held at Harvard University, usually in March. Last held in March 2016.
  • 8 Pi-Con (Holiday Inn Enfield, CT) - “The friendliest little convention in New England.” Last held in June 2015.
  • ConnectiCon (Hartford, CT) - “A massively multi-genre convention.” Looks like a good list of gaming events. 9-12 July 2020.
  • Neon RI (Warwick, RI) - (Was TempleCon) A retro-futurism con with gaming and LAN events. 28-30 August 2020.
  • NecronomiCon (Providence, RI) - “The International Festival of Weird Fiction, Art, and Academia” features a Cthulhu-based gaming track. Replaced by a Lovecraft film festival on 21-23 August 2020, but the con returns 19-22 August 2021.
  • Boston FIG (Boston, MA) - The Boston Festival of Indie Games celebrates independent game creation, both tabletop and computer-based. 12-13 September 2020.
  • AppleCon (Cornish, ME) - “The premiere tabletop RPG convention of southern Maine” featuring RPGs, wargames, and board games. 2-4 October 2020.
  • Falcon (Stamford, CT) - An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running. Run by the ConnCon team. Held in autumn. 20-22 March 2020.
  • PAX Unplugged (Philadelphia, PA) - A new con devoted to tabletop. 20-22 November 2020.
  • AnonyCon (Stamford, CT) - An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running at it as well as original games. Board games, video games, and LARPS are also hosted there. Held in early December. December 2019 (exact dates TBD as of July 2019).

Mid-Atlantic (DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV)

  • Dreamation (Morristown, NJ) - A huge convention featuring board games, RPGs, LARPs, and an anime track. 20-23 February 2020.
  • 1d4Con (Shepherdstown, WV) - Small, local gaming convention. 15-17 May 2020.
  • DexCon 23 (Morristown, NJ) - The NATIONAL 96 Hour Extravaganza Featuring Over 1,000 Events. 8-12 July 2020.
  • Queen City Conquest (Buffalo, NY) - A regional board game and RPG convention. 11-13 September 2020.
  • New York Comic Con (New York, NY) - The largest pop culture event on the east coast. 8-11 October 2020.
  • Erie Days of Games (EDoG) (Erie, PA) - Come and learn new board games, card games, RPGs, and miniatures in a family friendly environment. 4-5 October 2019.
  • Save Against Fear (Harrisburg, PA) - Celebrates tabletop gaming and the power of community. 9-11 October 2020.
  • Metatopia (Morristown, NJ) - A weekend specifically organized for playtesting new tabletop games. 5-8 November 2020.
  • PAX Unplugged (Philadelphia, PA) - A new con devoted to tabletop games, including board games, collectible card games, and RPGs. 20-22 November 2020.

  • MACE West (Asheville, NC) - Gaming in the mountains. 28 February-01 March 2020.
  • MegaCon (Orlando, FL) - A large comics, pop culture, and gaming con. 16-19 April 2020.
  • ConCarolinas (Charlotte, NC) - Carolina's longest-running multi-fandom con. 29-31 May 2020.
  • ConTemporal (Chapel Hill, NC) - A science fiction con with a Steampunk flavor and a sizable gaming track including RPGA, Camarilla, and Pathfinder Society events. Last held 21-24 June 2012.
  • Club MACE (County Kerry, Ireland) - Who wouldn't want to go on a gaming cruise and vacation to Ireland? 10-17 July 2021.
  • Dragon*Con (Atlanta, GA) - The largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe. Usually held over Labor Day weekend. 3-7 September 2020.
  • MACE (Charlotte, NC) - “The best & most organized Carolina gaming con.” 13-15 November 2020.

  • Winter War (Champaign, IL) - The Midwest's Longest Consecutively Running Independent Gaming Convention. 24-26 January 2021.
  • Winter Fantasy (Fort Wayne, IN) - The premiere D&D convention. 05-09 February 2020.
  • GaryCon (Lake Geneva, WI) - An annual gaming con celebrating the life of Gary Gygax. 26-29 March 2020.
  • Who's Yer Con (Indianapolis, IN) - A free annual gaming convention put on by Who's Yer Gamers. 10-12 April 2020.
  • Forge Midwest (Madison, WI) - An annual RPG convention, geared toward adults. 24-26 April 2020.
  • Origins (Columbus, OH) - An annual tabletop gaming convention. 17-21 June 2020.
  • GenCon (Indianapolis, IN) - The granddaddy of gaming cons. 30 July-02 August 2020.

  • PAX South (San Antonio, TX) Features a large tabletop area with board games, miniatures games, and RPGs. Jan 18 - 20, 2019.
  • ChupacabraCon (Round Rock, TX) An annual gaming convention with all proceeds going to charity. May 1-3, 2020.
  • FnordCon (Austin, TX) A gaming con organized by Steve Jackson Games. April 3-5, 2020.
  • Geekway to the West (St. Louis, MO) “Four days of peace, love, and boardgames.” June 11-14, 2020.
  • Fear the Con (Maryland Heights, MO) A 2-day boardgaming con hosted by Fear The Boot. SITE DOWN. Last seen June 22-23, 2018.

  • Genghis Con (Aurora, CO) Held February 13-16, 2020.
  • TactiCon (Denver, CO) Held September 3-6, 2020.
  • SaltCon (Salt Lake City, UT) “Bringing the flavor back to gaming.” Family-friendly concierges hook casual gamers up with game tables and learn to play events. Held March 5-8, 2020 - games run 24 hours per day.

  • GAMA Expo (Reno, NV) - The game industry convention. 13-15 March 2020.
  • KublaCon (Burlingame, CA) - Four days of family gaming fun. 21-25 May 2020.
  • Comic Con International (San Diego, CA) - A convention for comics and other game-adjacent fandom. 23-26 July 2020.
  • Celesticon (Fremont, CA) - Four days of family-friendly gaming. Last held 2-5 Sep 2016.
  • Big Bad Con (Burlingame, CA) - A weekend-long gaming con. 22-25 October 2020.

Northwest (ID, OR, WA)

  • Emerald City Comic Con (ECCC) (Seattle, WA) - Will be postponed until Summer 2020.
  • PAX Prime (Seattle, WA) - The biggest gaming con in the Northwest for tabletop and electronic games. 28-31 August 2020.
  • Fabricated Realities (Olympia, WA) - A con built entirely around playing collaborative story games. Last held on 15-17 June 2012.
