Gaming Cons by Region

New England (CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, VT)

  • Arisia (Boston, MA) - Billed as a general science fiction and fantasy convention, but it offers its share of gaming. 17-20 January 2020.
  • Total Confusion (Mansfield, MA) Focused on tabletop RPGs and board games. 20-23 February, 2020.
  • Intercon (Chelmsford, MA) A yearly all-LARP con, usually in early March. 27 February - 01 March 2020.
  • PAX East (Boston, MA) The biggest gaming con in New England so far, focused on tabletop RPGs, Board Games, Console Games, and PC Games. Held in early Spring, usually March or April. 27 February - 01 March 2020.
  • ConnCon (Stamford, CT) An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running at it. Held in February or March. 20-22 March 2020.
  • Vericon (Cambridge, MA) A yearly gaming and fandom con held at Harvard University, usually in March. Last held in March 2016.
  • 8 Pi-Con (Holiday Inn Enfield, CT) - “The friendliest little convention in New England.” Last held in June 2015.
  • ConnectiCon (Connecticut Convention Center Hartford, CT) - “A massively multi-genre convention.” Looks like a good list of gaming events. 11-14 July, 2019.
  • Neon RI (Warwick, RI) - (Was TempleCon) A retro-futurism con with gaming and LAN events. Last held in August 2018.
  • NecronomiCon (Providence, RI) - “The International Festival of Weird Fiction, Art, and Academia” features a Cthulhu-based gaming track. 22-25 August 2019.
  • AppleCon (The Inn at Cornish, ME) - “The premiere tabletop RPG convention of southern Maine” featuring RPGs, wargames, and board games. 27-29 September 2019.
  • Falcon (Stamford, CT) An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running. Run by the ConnCon team. Held in autumn. 20-22 March 2020.
  • PAX Unplugged (Philadelphia, PA) A new con devoted to tabletop. 06-08 December 2019.
  • AnonyCon (Stamford, CT) An RPG focused con with several RPGA campaigns running at it as well as original games. Board games, video games, and LARPS are also hosted there. Held in early December. December 2019 (exact dates TBD as of July 2019).

Mid-Atlantic (DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV)

  • 1d4Con (Hampton Inn Winchester North & Conference Center - Winchester, VA) - Small, local convention. May 15 - 17, 2020
  • DexCon 22 (The Morristown Hyatt & Conference Center - Morristown, New Jersey) - The NATIONAL 96 Hour Extravaganza Featuring Over 1,000 Events. July 3 - 7, 2019
  • Queen City Conquest (Daemen College - Amherst, NY) - A regional board game and RPG convention. July 12 - 14, 2019
  • New York Comic Con (Javitz Center - New York, NY) The largest pop culture event on the east coast. October 3 - 6, 2019
  • Erie Days of Games (EDoG) (Quality Inn near casino - Erie, PA) Come and learn new board games, card games, RPGs, and miniatures in a family friendly environment. October 4 - 5, 2019
  • * Save Against Fear (Harrisburg Mall - Harrisburg, PA) - Celebrates tabletop gaming and the power of community. October 11 - 13, 2019

South (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN)

  • mini-mace (Winston-Salem, NC) Food and Gaming, what more do you need? A one-day con, held 28 January, 2012.
  • MegaCon (Orlando, FL) A large comics, pop culture, and gaming con. Held on February 17-19, 2012.
  • MACE West (Hickory, NC) There's nothing like a good piece of hickory. Held March 30 - April 01, 2012.
  • ConTemporal (Chapel Hill, NC) A science fiction con with a Steampunk flavor and a sizable gaming track including RPGA, Camarilla, and Pathfinder Society events. Held June 21-24, 2012.
  • Dragon*Con (Atlanta, GA) The largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe. Will be held over Labor Day weekend, August 31 - September 3, 2012.

  • MACE (Charlotte, NC) A gaming con, running November 2-4, 2012.

Midwest (IL, IN, KY, MI, OH, WI)

  • Winter War (Champaign, IL) - The Midwest's Longest Consecutively Running Independent Gaming Convention. 27-29 January 2019.
  • Winter Fantasy (Fort Wayne, IN) - The premiere D&D convention. 06-10 February 2019.
  • Who's Yer Con (Indianapolis, IN) - A free annual gaming convention put on by Who's Yer Gamers. 22-24 March 2019.
  • Forge Midwest (Madison, WI) - 26-28 April 2019.
  • Origins (Columbus, OH) - Gaming convention. 17-21 June 2020.
  • GenCon (Indianapolis, IN) - The granddaddy of gaming cons. 01-04 August 2019.
  • U-Con (Ann Arbor, MI) - Play games all weekend. 'Nuff said. 22-24 November 2019.

Northern Plains (IA, MN, ND, NE, SD)

Southern Plains/Gulf Coast (AR, KS, LA, MO, OK, TX)

  • PAX South (San Antonio, TX) Features a large tabletop area with board games, miniatures games, and RPGs. Jan 18 - 20, 2019
  • ChupacabraCon (Round Rock, TX) An annual gaming convention with all proceeds going to charity. Mar 3 - 5, 2019
  • Geekway to the West (St. Louis, MO) “Four days of peace, love, and boardgames.” June 11 - 14, 2020
  • Fear the Con (Maryland Heights, MO) A 2-day boardgaming con hosted by Fear The Boot. SITE DOWN. Last seen June 22 - 23, 2018.

Rocky Mountains (CO, MT, UT, WY)

  • Genghis Con (Aurora, CO) Usually held in February.
  • TactiCon (Denver, CO) Will be held Aug 29-Sep 1, 2013.
  • SaltCon (Salt Lake City, UT) “Bringing the flavor back to gaming.” Family-friendly concierges hook casual gamers up with game tables and learn to play events. Held February 15-17, 2013 - games run 24 hours per day.

Southwest (AR, CA, NM, NV)

  • GAMA Trade Show (Las Vegas, NV) The game industry con, to be held March 12-16, 2012.
  • KublaCon (Burlingame, CA) Four days of family gaming fun, held May 25-28, 2012.
  • GO Con (Oakland, CA) A one-day gaming con at EndGame's Store, held July 7, 2012.
  • Comic Con International (San Diego, CA) Will be held July 12-15, 2012.
  • Celesticon (Fremont, CA) Four days of family-friendly gaming over Labor Day weekend, Aug 31-Sep 2, 2012.
  • Big Bad Con (Oakland, CA) A weekend-long gaming con, to be held October 5-7, 2012.

Northwest (ID, OR, WA)

  • PAX Prime (Seattle, WA) The biggest gaming con in the Northwest. Held in late summer, usually August.
  • Fabricated Realities (Olympia, WA) A con built entirely around playing collaborative story games held on June 15-17, 2012.
